Mae-Il Summer Top
Mae-il, which means “everyday” in Korean and this Summer Top is a classic and versatile design that is meant to be easy to into your everyday summer wardrobe.
It is worked from the bottom-up seamlessly, with a simple design at the front/back and sides to keep it visually interesting. The neck and armholes are worked as I-cord edging and shaped by using decreases.
The body of the top is initially worked then stitches for the back are held on waste yarn while the front is worked. Then stitches for the back are picked up and worked.
This top is worked with the back side slightly higher than the front however it can easily be worn reversed if you’d prefer a bit more coverage in the front.
PATTERN INFORMATION:
Bottom-up construction.
Worked in one piece with stitches being held on waste yarn or spare needle.
I-cord edging on neckline and underarm.
